Planeta Cómic announces further delay for Kochikame manga in Spain

Planeta Cómic announced on Twitter on Monday that the chest edition of Osamu Akimoto's Kochikame manga has been delayed from its planned December 1 release window in Spain due to technical problems. The company will announce a new release window at a later date.

Planeta Cómic plans on releasing the manga in Spain in a limited chest edition, consisting of 10 volumes with stories selected by Osamu Akimoto. Retailing for 99€, the manga was initially scheduled for October 2021 but was later delayed to December 1.

Osamu Akimoto serialized the manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1976 to 2016. The author currently serializes additional stories in the magazine at an irregular schedule. The stories have been compiled into 201 volumes, making it one of the longest-running manga series to date. The series later received an anime adaptation, which is currently licensed in Spain by Luk Internacional.
